J Gradient is a commercial research laboratory specializing in the development of algorithms for processing aerial imagery. It is solely owned, managed, and operated by Jan Prokaj, Ph.D. . It was founded in August 2013 by Jan Prokaj, after he earned a doctor of philosophy degree from University of Southern California.
Located in the Sunshine State, the lab enjoys warm weather year-round, fueling its scientific advances.

Jan gained expertise in computer vision and computational exploitation of aerial imagery during his work on his dissertation, his internships with the Persistics group at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and through his publications.
